Just been working on a weekly meal planner to get myself organised :) cant wait til its done so i can go fooood shoppping! and then the dreaded cooking ;)
I've found this to be the only way to keep variety in the diet, while also managing to stick to a healthy eating commitment and not buckling for the easy option at the supermarket/fast food place. it's also a good idea if you can to cook and freeze as many meals as possible on a set day and then just grab out of the freezer when needed.
It's important to break up your meals into 6 smaller portions. In my opinion there is no set size for your portions per person that can really be determined, only rough guides, as long as you're eating healthy and exercising your body will start changing for the better. If you're only easing your way into things (which is probably a good idea for beginners) don't overload yourself with too much info that it becomes too hard to continue, you'll just fall back into a rut. JUST EAT HEALTHY, 6 TIMES A DAY! It's important to always have protein (meat), greens, and of course some carbs as these are where your energy should come from. Limit your fats by avoiding frying. Sorry guys, i know it'll hurt. Once you get into the habit of eating healthy in 6 meals a day you'll realise when your hungry, and how much your body requires. You'll learn to listen to your body and figure out exactly what your body needs.
Anyway, thats all for today. I'll do a proper write up with more info on eating another day.
